Gamma then generates a multi-card post with AI images based on the transcript, which you can review, edit, and export straight to LinkedIn.
Where do you get the transcript to paste into Gamma?
On the YouTube video’s page, scroll down and click “show transcript,” then toggle off the timestamps and copy the transcript text. That raw transcript becomes the context Gamma uses to generate the social post, so no new writing is required to get started.

Hey y’all. In this video, we’re going to be walking through how to create content for social media from existing content using Gamma. Now, this video assumes you have a video that you’d want to repurpose. Go ahead and grab that video, then come back and walk through the process so you can see exactly how to make momentum forward using Gamma to get your ideas out there into the world faster and more effortlessly than ever before. Let’s rock and roll.
All right, so here we are on a recent YouTube video that I want to turn into a LinkedIn post and have a few images accompanying that post to get the word out about this video we just shot. First things first, since we’re on YouTube with this video, all I’m going to do is take the transcript from this video that YouTube generates for free for me. And then I’m going to move on into Gamma for the next step. In order to grab the transcript, all I got to do is scroll down, click show transcript. I toggle off the timestamps, copy the transcript, and time to head back into Gamma.
Now that I’m in Gamma, I’m going to go ahead and select paste in text so that Gamma has my context. And now I’m going to select not presentation, not web page, not document, social. When I select social, you’ll notice I have a few different options for page styles. We have portrait, square, and stories. For the purpose of this, I’m going to select portrait and continue.
Now, Gamma has my content from the video. I’m going to go ahead and bump this number up to 10 individual cards and make sure that my image source is selected. In this case, it’s Ideogram 3 Turbo, but there are a lot of image sources that you can test out and see which one works the best for you. It’s automatically selected the Ideogram one right now, but I actually like for this particular case, I’m going to take another approach and select the image sources to be illustrations from Pictographic. So, I’m going to select those illustrations and I’m going to say create a walkthrough series of images that educate on the content provided.
Now, once I’ve done that, I’m going to go ahead and click continue. And now we’re on to the next step where I can select a number of different preset options. I’m going to go ahead and select this cool one cuz I think it looks cool. Select generate. And as it’s generating, Gamma will now start producing the content based on the transcript that I provided for it. And inside of this interface, as Gamma is producing these individual slides, I can also go back and update the images if I want to, or I can push these images out as I will for the purposes of this demonstration.
Fun part about utilizing Gamma in this process is it’s getting me 80 to 90% of the way there, and then I can take it over the finish line. Cool. So, you can see right here, how do you get started? A little bit meta in this video, but this works for any video. As long as you have a transcript that is thorough and detailed and walking somebody through a process, this works great. This is talking about a book, content processing options, sending you a look. And as you can see, boom, now we’re all set there. This looks pretty good right out the gate.
So, to show you how this goes to the next step where we have the full series of images on the LinkedIn, all I’m going to do is select share under the export tab. Gamma now integrates with LinkedIn. So if I select LinkedIn, I’m going to say create studying presentations in a minute. I’m going to go ahead and grab right here, copy paste that in. Say latest YouTube video. So now we see what if you could turn your book into a course, yada yada yada. So I’ve already written this and of course you could spend more time here if you’d like. Say watch full video now at on city YouTube channel. And then I’m simply going to link back to the video. And now I’m going to select post to LinkedIn. Give it a minute to post and then we’ll see it appear on LinkedIn and maybe make any additional edits once we see it there.
