Using AI To Create A Fictional Character

All right, we’re going to be doing some fictional character backstory and research today. So what we’re going to start with right now is the fictional character named Richard Rockefeller. The story goes, he’s the founder of the game Side Hustle, which is “the party for entrepreneurs.” This is essentially his short biography, under 600 characters, that Jarvis is going to be referencing and will develop a story on.

While I have an idea of a little bit of Rich Rock’s backstory, basically I’m going to use Jarvis to take it a step further and really give us some ideas and some spark behind how we can use AI to help us develop a fictional character’s backstory, storyline, narrative, and research some more of their needs, wants, fears, and desires.

So, come down here to these core questions. What I’m going to do — stop drivers from looking above here with these little dots — just so Jarvis is going to be referencing this at this point. Right now, four questions: what does — what does Richard Rockefeller want? And, quite simply, I am going to start using Jarvis and giving him commands here to insert the character’s name and click enter.

“Richard Rockefeller wants to live in a world where everyone is an entrepreneur, where people are free to start their own business, their life, with their dreams. He knows the world can come true as long as they have the courage to start running their own business.” Let’s go in and see if it does anything more specific — something about selling singing fish to tourists for a living, coming a long way, and now owning and operating a successful business on the island: Party Land, “India Party,” the game for entrepreneurs. If you’re an entrepreneur, he’s big news here. I don’t know if this is a Richard Branson quote, but it very well could be.

And so it prompted itself after this to say, “What does he want to achieve?” So let’s run with that a little bit. “Richard wants everyone” — I mean, Jarvis, you know, whatever happened — “if you can, watch first by playing Side Hustle, the world will be filled with Side Hustle entrepreneurs. Challenge people to start their own party business and see how easy and fun it is — they’ll want to do more.” Interesting. Interesting, what is it going to say? Where — let’s keep this going — where did he live? I like how it’s just giving me prompts now based on the character development. Initially, “you’re going off Earth.” Okay.

How do others see him? “I’m one of these subcontractors coming in” — it’s like “the hot, unicorn-supporter.” What does he feel? “Richard is motivated by [wanting] a world, a better place, one party game at a time. He knows that in order to make this happen, everyone must be an entrepreneur.” Pretty straightforward, Rich Rock, as you’d want. Okay.

So let’s go in now and say, what is Richard Rockefeller’s fear? It’s not a great answer, Jarvis: “Richard Rockefeller is afraid of failure.” All right, what does he want others to know about him? What does Richard Rockefeller need? Isn’t that the question. “Needs to make the world a better place” — for relational questions, right? What is his relationship with his parents? Okay, let’s try — “he’ll talk to anyone because he wants to share his Side Hustle experience, you never know what it means, how are they involved” — I was just spitting ideas out now. “Clever, funny, and successful. He is a unicorn” — his many defining moments.

How is Rich Rock able to balance work and family life? It’s a good question. “Just a workaholic” — there’s Rich Rock thinking about his mother. Oh no, poor Rich. “Keep it funny and keep it fundable,” as you’d receive — mine took it too seriously and they didn’t. “Typical life is quite hectic, always be hustling.” The confessions of Richard Rockefeller — how would you describe — oh no, “he’s a single Richard Rockefeller” — “is Richard Rockefeller in a relationship?” Questions — let’s do it.

Well, now it’s going to start giving you chapters. Okay, I decided to work on the example — I’m trying to get their pitch — “Puff Puff Pavilion” — I know, this is an incredible amount of information on the backstory. Here’s control — well, I wonder if this is the actual link — nope, made it up. What does — laughing — what does Rich Rock’s daily routine look like? That question — closed captioning not available.
