Key takeaways

How can authors use AI to market a book?

Authors can use Jarvis (rebranded as Jasper) in three ways: generating advertisement and marketing copy with the AIDA framework, writing personalized outreach emails to bloggers and authority sites, and crafting pitches for giveaways or sweepstakes that build excitement around the book.

How do you write book ad copy with Jarvis?

Put your book’s details into a content brief, then ask Jarvis to generate ads and marketing materials using the AIDA framework. The short-form editors can quickly produce a batch of templates; pull the best lines into the long-form editor to expand into fuller marketing copy for pitching book sales or newsletter sign-ups.

How do you pitch bloggers and authority sites about your book?

  1. Identify authority sites, bloggers, and people in your market with an audience of likely readers.
  2. Draft an email or social outreach template inviting them to review or feature the book.
  3. Use Jarvis’s tone-of-voice settings combined with your own voice to find unique angles.
  4. Lead with value: explain why the book benefits both the blogger and their readers.
  5. Personalize the opener with a sentence or two based on the recipient’s bio or interests before pasting in the core pitch.
  6. Send the book, then continue building the relationship with anyone who responds.

How do book giveaways help promote a book?

Giveaways, sweepstakes, and prize promotions (a signed copy, free consulting, or a bundle of complementary books) get readers to opt in and generate excitement. Jarvis can act as a brainstorming partner to help craft a single strong giveaway pitch that builds momentum for the book and the author’s platform.

Hey, what’s going on YouTube, Darby here from Jarvis Underground, and today I’m going to be talking to you about three creative ways that you can market and promote your book using Jarvis after you’ve written your book. Now before I do that, I want to say thank you so much for being here, and if you like the content that we put out, please click that subscribe button below and leave us a comment about what kind of tips, tricks, gold nuggets that you found most helpful in your author journey.

Now I’m gonna dive right in. Right here we’ve got the top three ways that I’m finding right now — a real fun, creative way to help promote and market your book using Jarvis. One is using Jarvis to write out some advertisement copy for your book. Now, once you write your book, the next job is going to be marketing it, so how are you going to get that message out there? Using Jarvis, and using what I like — the AIDA framework — can help you whip up a whole slew of ads for your book and your content very, very fast. All you need to do is put the information in the content brief and then ask Jarvis to give you some advertisements, some marketing materials, so you can pitch people to go and buy your books, sign up for your newsletter, or anything else that you’re wanting to do there.

So that’s tip number one: using Jarvis for writing your marketing advertisement material. I’m a big fan of the AIDA framework inside of Jarvis. There are other ways you can combine that, depending on how long you want your copy to be. You can also use the short-form editors and get a lot of these templates built out very, very quickly, and then take the best that you like, put them into the long-form editor, and write out some more copy around the marketing of your book.

Now creative way number two is send out your book to a lot of authority sites, bloggers, people in your market or industry that have an audience that would be a really good set of readers for your book. In order to get in front of these people, these bloggers and stuff, you’re going to want to whip up an email outreach template or a social media outreach template that’s going to be inviting them into what you want to be doing — what’s going to be the exchange of value for you there. So using Jarvis to craft out this message can help get those creative juices flowing. You want to have some unique angles, you want to get people excited about your book, you want to make sure you’re hitting people with the right tone. So using the tone of voice inside of Jarvis, combined with your own expression and what you want to be saying and feeling, this is a really great opportunity for you to dial in that outreach approach.

I always recommend leading with the value, showing the blogger or whoever is going to be writing any kind of press release on your book why this is going to be valuable — not only to them, but to their audience. Why will their readers get value out of being presented a book from you? And because you have a book, you’re a published author, you can send them copies of your book and get it in their hands, and if they like your book then you will want to continue to build that relationship, knowing that this is something that you’re investing time in.

So really spend some time with Jarvis writing these initial personalized emails, with the help of the AI that can really add that extra tone of flair to where you’re trying to get out there, so when you click send you can know that someone on the other end is going to be receiving your message well and has a lot higher chance of writing a review or a post about your book — because you sent them a nice personalized outreach. And with the help of Jarvis you can do that much, much faster, especially if you want to personalize it for different journalists: read their bios, see what kind of things they like, find that information, put it in Jarvis, have them craft a one- or two-sentence opener for your email, and then you can paste in the basic details right there. But always start with giving out one or two sentences at the beginning, personalize it, show them that you’ve actually done some research — it’s going to go a long way with helping you get your book in front of new eyeballs.

Number three: put on prizes, giveaways, sweepstakes for your book and get people excited about it. Get people to opt in for maybe winning a chance to win a free signed author copy, maybe you’re giving away free consulting for one lucky winner, or maybe you’re offering a bundle of other books and things that will complement your book to your readers. So putting together this giveaway is an exciting event, and there’s no better help with that excitement than our favorite AI salesman, Jarvis, to bounce ideas off of and to help you really craft that one really solid pitch for your giveaway that could generate a lot of excitement for your book, for your brand, and hopefully grow your author platform and your business at the same time.

So those are the three ways that we see people having a lot of success right now using Jarvis to help them promote not only their books, but their blogs and anything else that they’re publishing that they want to get in front of more eyeballs. So hope you found these tips valuable. If you did, please click subscribe and drop a comment below with maybe some of your own tips, some of your own tricks that you’re using or have tried in the past to market your book and get in front of new audiences. Until next time, Darby here, Jarvis Underground, have a great day.
