Idea to Pitch Deck in 60 Seconds

Key takeaways

How do you turn a random idea into a pitch deck in 60 seconds?

Play the Side Hustle card game to randomly generate a business concept, then feed that concept into Gamma’s AI deck generator. Gamma builds a complete, presentable pitch deck from the idea in under a minute, with no manual writing or design work required.

What is the Side Hustle card game?

Side Hustle is a game used to randomly select a business concept by drawing a card. In the video, the draw lands on “Moonscreen,” a company in the media and entertainment industry described as a projector that plays movies on the moon, visible from Earth. The random draw is the starting point for the pitch deck rather than something brainstormed from scratch.

How does Gamma generate the pitch deck?

  1. Take the randomly drawn business idea (in this case, “Moonscreen: a projector that plays movies on the moon that you can see from Earth”) over to Gamma.
  2. Click generate.
  3. Gamma produces 10 cards forming a first-pass pitch deck for the concept.
  4. Add or modify cards as needed.
  5. Select a style for the deck.
  6. Select an image style for the visuals.
  7. Click generate again to produce the finished deck, which completes in roughly 60 seconds.

What did the generated Moonscreen pitch deck cover?

Deck section Content generated
Concept framing “The Cinematic Frontier” — a giant luminous movie screen on the moon, visible from Earth at unprecedented scale
Technical feasibility High-power projectors with precise aim and signal transmission; logistics like equipment transport, maintenance, and power supply
Creative collaboration Working with filmmakers, directors, screenwriters, visual artists, and music composers
Commercial opportunities Advertising (projecting logos and messages on the moon), broadcasted entertainment content like movies and concerts, and tourism as a future revenue stream
Scale-up vision Building lunar cinema complexes, with an ultimate goal of becoming multiplanetary

The deck was framed as comparable in ambition to the Las Vegas Sphere, “but literally out of this world.”

Hey, Derby here. In this video I’m going to share how to play the Side Hustle game and then turn those side hustle ideas into presentations, pitch decks, with Gamma. So the first thing we’re going to do is play Side Hustle. We’re going to randomly select a card: Moonscreen, in the media and entertainment industry. So I’ll have a minute playing Side Hustle to come up with a name like that, a business called Moonscreen, media and entertainment. What I can do is go over to Gamma to get ahead of the game. It’s a projector that plays movies on the moon that you can see from Earth.

So I’m going to go ahead and click generate. It’s going to generate me 10 cards with a pitch deck for this, and I can add cards, I can modify it, select a style, and I can select image style too. I’m just going to leave it as it is and click generate. So, I’ve got 7 seconds on the clock: six, five, four, three, two, one. And just like that, in 60 seconds, we’ve got a pitch deck for Moonscreen, a lunar cinema experience that we can present.

So this is Moonscreen: entertainment on the lunar surface, visible from Earth. This is the Cinematic Frontier, a new canvas. Imagine a giant luminous movie screen on the moon, visible from Earth at unprecedented scale. The moon becomes a canvas. This is a massive technical feat: high-power projectors, precise in their aim and their signal transmission. And then obviously there’s logistical considerations, like transport for the equipment to get to the moon, the maintenance, and the power supply to operate the projectors and things like that. And of course it’s going to be an immersive viewing experience. This is unparalleled scale, never been done before, going to be awe-inspiring.

This is quite an artistic collaboration, being working with filmmakers, directors, screenwriters, with the top visual artists in the world and top music composers that can create these auditory experiences that will project through time and space. There’s a lot of commercial opportunities for this, things like advertising, projecting their logos and messages on the moon. The entertainment content, of course: movies, concerts, and other entertainment events could be broadcasted. This is like the Las Vegas Sphere, but literally out of this world. And the tourism, of course — once we’re up and established, adds another revenue stream for an even more viewing experience. Lunar cinema complexes is where we see this going, to scale up and build our enterprise, with the ultimate goal to be multiplanetary. And that’s Moonscreen — investors possibly.
