Wookie Cookies: A Rave Tragedy - The Story of Chewbacca at EDC

What is this video?

This is a demo of AI-generated storytelling: the video’s description explains it as an example of “ask[ing] AI to help you write a ridiculous script + create the voiceover and slides.” The slides and voiceover were produced with InVideo (invideo.io), showing how a full narrated short video — script, visuals, and audio — can be assembled from an AI-written concept.

What is the story about?

The video tells a fictional, comedic cautionary tale: a 20-year-old Wookie named Chewbacca attends EDC Las Vegas with a group of human friends, using a translator device attached to his belt to communicate (voiced with a Lil Jon-style delivery). While enjoying the festival with his friends at Kinetic Field, Chewbacca starts feeling unwell after taking something called “Wookie cookies” bought from a group of Rave Wookies. His friends rush him to a medical tent, but he does not survive. The group is then pursued by the same Rave Wookies through the festival before escaping to their car, closing on a “don’t do drugs kids” message about the dangers of unknown substances.

Why does this video exist?

Per the video description, it’s presented as an example of what’s possible when you prompt AI to write an over-the-top script and then run it through a tool like InVideo to generate matching slides and voiceover — a lighthearted demonstration of AI-assisted content production rather than a tutorial or how-to.

Full video transcript

Next EDC Las Vegas night, a group of friends is making their way through the crowd through EDC Las Vegas. Among them is Chewbacca, a 20-year-old male Wookie who is trying to enjoy his time at the festival. Chewbacca is the only real Wookie here, but because it’s a rave festival and everyone dresses up, he hopes to blend in and enjoy the fun. Even though he’s 12 feet tall, Chewbacca sounds like a cross between a bear and a dog. He speaks in a deep, guttural voice that is very loud and difficult for humans to understand. His friends are human and have attached a Wookie translator device to Chewbacca’s belt so they can understand him. This translator sounds like Lil Jon.

“Let’s go, oh yeah, here we go, let’s rip some limbs.” Everyone pulls out their phones and makes sure they have the stages pulled up for all the DJs they want to see. They begin to walk towards Kinetic Field. The crowd gets thicker and thicker the closer they get.

“We need to stay together, especially this first night — it’s all our first time.” They make their way through the crowd. Chewbacca is leading the way; everyone moves aside and lets them through. Nobody questions the fact there’s a 12-foot-tall Wookie rare roll. They finally make it to Kinetic Field. The sight is breathtaking. “Wow.” They spend the next few hours dancing and enjoying the music.

As the night goes on, Chewbacca starts to feel a bit off. “I don’t feel so good.” “We need to get you to a medical tent.” They help him up and try to make their way out of the crowd. Chewbacca is getting worse and worse. They finally make it to a medical tent and the doctors take over. “What did you take?” Chewbacca is delirious and it’s hard for him to answer. “We think he took something called Wookie cookies.” “That’s not good — that’s a bad batch of drugs going around. We’ve had a few people come in with the same symptoms.” Chewbacca is getting worse and worse. Chewbacca dies shortly after.

His friends are devastated. “This is all our fault — we shouldn’t have let him take those drugs from those rave Wookies. We need to get out of here — this place is starting to feel weird.” As they’re walking, they hear a voice — a rave Wookie voice. They turn to see a group of rave Wookies coming toward them, the same type that Chewbacca bought the drugs from. “We need to get out of here.” They take off running. The Wookies are right behind them, relentless in their pursuit. “We can’t keep this up — they’re going to catch us.” “Chewbacca would want us to keep going.”

They keep running, not knowing what else to do. They finally make it out of the festival and to their car. They get in and drive away as fast as they can. They’ll never forget what happened this weekend, and they’ll never forgive themselves for what happened to Chewbacca. “Whoo — that’s the last time I ever trust a rave Wookie selling cookies.” “Yeah, don’t do drugs, kids — they can be deadly, as Chewbacca learned the hard way.”

A somber feeling clouds the group as they drive away. It’s a tragic end to what was supposed to be the best weekend of their lives — a reminder that drugs can be deadly no matter what form they come in.

RIP Chewbacca.
