Get Paid to Speak: How to Build a Personal Brand as a Professional Speaker (Masterclass Included)

Key takeaways

How do you build a personal brand to get booked as a paid speaker?

This workshop, run live by keynote speaker Garrett Gravesen (“GG”) with Darby Rollins at the Scale with AI Summit, walks through a three-part approach: get clear on two or three defining personal stories, use an AI tool called the speaker brief to turn that clarity into a positioning statement and target-audience profile, then use that speaker brief to generate a full speaker kit in Gamma that can be sent to event planners.

What is the “speaker brief” and what does it do?

The speaker brief is an AI-driven tool Gravesen and Rollins built together that takes your personal stories and topic idea and turns them into a structured positioning statement, a defined target audience and demographic, the primary goals and pain points of that audience, and the specific language (search terms and topics) that audience and event planners are actually looking for. Gravesen demonstrates it live on Rollins, generating a “speaker blueprint” document that names Rollins’s topic (AI-powered creativity), audience (entrepreneurs, business leaders, writers, educators), their stated pain points (feeling overwhelmed, wanting practical applications, hitting creative blocks), and the underlying search language planners use.

How do you turn the speaker brief into a speaker kit?

  1. Identify two or three unique, defining personal stories — Gravesen frames his own around three trips (Hong Kong, Kenya, and a six-minute speech) and stresses that stories where “nothing really went right” connect better than ones that look perfect.
  2. Run those stories and your topic through the speaker brief to generate a speaker blueprint: your positioning statement, target audience, demographics, and the language planners search for.
  3. Reference a “speaker kit recipe” (a 10-page framework covering elements planners expect: a strong first visual impression, defined target audience, compelling bio, concise speech overview, testimonials, and evidence of thought leadership).
  4. Download the speaker kit recipe and your speaker blueprint, then attach both to a ChatGPT conversation and instruct it to use the recipe as the structural reference and the blueprint as the content source, explicitly telling it not to reuse Gravesen’s own business details.
  5. Ask ChatGPT to first confirm its understanding and outline its approach before generating full content, to keep the output aligned to your blueprint rather than drifting.
  6. Have it generate every section of the kit (cover page, audience, signature topics, and the rest of the 10-page structure) using your blueprint’s content.

How do you turn that content into something you can actually send someone?

Once ChatGPT has drafted the full kit content, copy it into Gamma, paste it into a new page or presentation, and let Gamma break the text into individual cards or slide sections automatically (in the demo, an 11-card layout). From there you can pick a theme — Gravesen and Rollins both note you can apply a theme already tied to your own personal-brand website — generate the visuals, and either present it as a deck or publish it as a standalone one-page site on your own domain that you can send directly to an event planner. Gravesen notes this is intentionally a fast, “80% of the way there” starting point rather than a fully polished final kit, and that you don’t need a finished speech written out to start the process — planners first just want to see that you understand what a speaker kit is.

What’s the honest takeaway from this session?

This is a live 90-minute workshop replay rather than a scripted tutorial, so the pacing includes real-time troubleshooting, tangents, and audience-facing framing from the Scale with AI Summit hosts. The core substance — the three-story framing exercise, the AI-generated speaker brief, the 10-page speaker kit recipe, and assembling the result in Gamma — is consistent throughout, and Gravesen closes by tying it back to his central message: everyone has a story worth sharing, and it often takes what he calls “10 seconds of insane courage” to put it out there.

[Music] all right we are now going to be transitioning into the next workshop with the one and only Garrett gravon we bring Garrett up to the stage you might know him as GG worldwide Mr worldwide’s been to all 197 countries and we’re going to be sharing how to build your personal brand and establish yourself as of authority and get on stage to speak in front of more folks and how to do that by using AI to identify who we’re going to be talking to how to craft a keynote speech that’s going to make you stand out and not just Unleash Your Potential which we’ll get into more here and then we’re going to be showing you how to use gamma to set up your own

Speaker kit alongside a framework that we’ll be sharing with everyone here that you can go through step by step and see exactly how professional speakers like actually professional speakers how they do this to get paid and it to to get booked on more speaking gigs but Garrett we’ll get into all of that and more over the next 90 minutes so excited to have you here with us welcome aboard yes so excited you ready to kick this thing off let rock and roll all right i’mna on you and and you’re gonna have the stage and then we’ll throughout this process guys we’ll be sharing some links so make sure you’re staying in tuned in and engaged this is going to be an action-packed session absolutely so

My goal is to help clarify your message and get you on stage to speak and get paid for it so hopefully we’re going to do that in 90 minutes with all the tools techniques and things that you need to perform on stage for your very first paid speaking gig but who in the world am I we’re gonna play one quick video and then we’ll jump in so let’s see if I can get this to work all right so if I need to do this let’s play this and see if I can do it here we go I’ve spent the past two decades traveling to all 197 countries around the world I’ve marched with the Penguins and run with the bulls but I’ve also witnessed what

The best leaders companies and audiences do differently as an award-winning keynote speaker leadership consultant and executive coach I’ve helped organizations Bridge divides ignite unstoppable momentum and Foster deep engagement I’ve keynoted at Fortune 500 companies top universities and international events sharing strategies that spark real change but leadership isn’t just about strategy it’s about heart it’s about the Courage to lead with authenticity and Purpose that’s why I created the world tour of Life a mission to visit every country on Earth while helping others find purpose driven leadership on their own journeys through immersive storytelling and actionable insights I

Empower audiences to embrace curiosity Foster real connection and lead with unstoppable Cascade Courage now let’s turn inspiration into action together right that’s just to give you a bio a background who Garrett is real quick if you’re just tuning in um but obviously we’re going to be doing a deep dive today on Garrett’s expertise on public speaking and getting paid to do so it’s an honor for you to be here Gigi so thank you so much for taking the time as part of the summit yeah I’m super excited so my hope is is by end of this you’re going to walk away not only with with clarity on

Your message but a means and a mechanism using AI to actually create a speaker one pager or two-page or five page one that you can start sending out immediately today after this call to start getting booked to speak because at the end of the day we’re speaking not just to get paid for right the paid part is amazing don’t get me wrong I I love to speak and get paid for I think everyone in here should have the confidence and know like your story your message your Insight is worth Getting Paid For by companies organizations associations universities but more than that the

The reason why I speak is not just to get paid it’s the impact that we get to have and for those 45 to 60 minutes we have the world’s Attpar attention and there’s no doubt that with all the things AI chat GPT everything else happening around us the world is more distracted than ever before but there’s something powerful and something is going to remain the same is our attention when we’re actually sitting either in an audience or a room and paying attention to somebody live in real time it’s still one of the most powerful things we have is our attention

For each other so that’s a great segue if it’s okay Gigi to just kick this off you were talking a little bit about stories our personal stories our struggles our narratives but as someone who’s been speaking in the professional world for the past two decades I firmly believe it’s not just the stories that matter but it’s the stories that make people remember why we do what we do we’re going to divide this into three parts one is I’m just going to tell you a story the second part is we’re going to analyze why that story may work or connect or relate and that you have a story that connects and relates in a

Very similar way and I think our goal is to pull that out of you add some clarity with some of the AI tools tools that we’ve developed called the speaker brief and then take the clarity around the speaker brief and then create a speaker kit for you I’ll explain what goes into that what goes into a great keynote speech what companies event planners and organizers are looking for so you can walk out of here uh in an hour with all the tools that you need to at least get started on the path to giving your first speech on stage and get paid for it so that’s the goal of where we’re going but it’s got to start somewhere and

That somewhere for me U starts with talking about courageous leadership and one simple idea which is 40 years and 30 days uh my dad was my hero in life and I love my father and my whole dream life um Yes you heard I’ve been to all the countries all 197 countries but I always connected to me on a one-on-one level so my guess is you’ve gone through something and I’ve gone through something and I’ve spent 20 years trying to figure out how do you create connect and relate with audiences in a genuine meaningful way based on what life’s given you and so I just want to share three quick stories because I think as we

Move into the speaker brief one of the opportunities we’re going to have is what are two or three unique stories to you that have shaped you and defined you and we can always back into the lessons learned and how that applies to business or marketing or leadership or AI but it starts with your personal story I never stand on stage and tell people exactly where we’re going to go I start with 40 years and 30 days because that’s authentic to me and so today I simply do this I help courageous companies Foster a culture of courage and when you have courage you have better Employee Engagement and yes you reduce your turnover and yes

You grow your sales and yes you do all this but it started with what am I passionate about and what’s true and authentic to me and as you hear these three stories I want you to start thinking about what are the three stories that have maybe defined my life and mine start with Hong Kong Kenya and a six minute speech and I just want to share these three stories is as I’m telling them these are stories where nothing really went right and I don’t know about you but when I see people whose life looks perfect and everything worked in their favor I cannot connect and relate to those people but if you’re willing to dig deep

And look at maybe where your life you took a a left turn but you still figured it out or we’re best positioned to help the people we once were so who were those people what were we going through what struggles did we face and how did we overcome those we’re just looking for three unique stories and at the end of these three stories I just want to show you the power of what I call the Social ripple effect I wish I’d come up with that term but I did not but we’re going to talk about it and how we can create the clarity around your personal story leveraging The Power of AI and what we’ve worked together with Darby on from

Gen University and how we can put that together into a speech that’ll get you on stage and perhaps even paid for the very first time but five questions everyone always asks were you rich absolutely not my dad sold insurance and my mom was a secretary well I was maybe rich in Courage I never I was rich in currency number two did I ever have a job yes I had a job I started a leadership consulting firm and we got the opportunity to build out Chick-fil-A leader Academy so if you like Chick-fil-A and you like training you like your service we got to play a small part in that 10 years ago um as Cheryl Samberg famously said

Um if you’re ask to join a seat on a rocket ship don’t ask what seat uh we did not as they grew we grew and I got to help write a lot of the leadership curriculum for them everyone always asks so I might as well answer it what’s the best country I say Italy top to bottom I think is probably my favorite country if you were to have me move somewhere immediately but I think Cape Town South Africa is my favorite city in the world Bali is very hard to beat and the food in Tokyo and all across Japan is probably the best in the planet were you ever scared again we can talk about North Korea at the end of this but perhaps the

Better idea was I went to the world’s largest food festival in Spain where they have 300,000 pounds of tomatoes and it’s the world’s largest food fight throwing Tomatoes at each other and I had the genius idea of wearing a white tuxedo for the very first time horrible idea and I immediately became Enemy Number One and what did I learn I think I learned this that life ultimately comes down to 10 seconds of insane courage and oftentimes the story that we tell both ourselves and others we all face impostor syndrome everyone’s facing a fear that we have no idea what they’re going through but I did learn a quote from the founder of chick-fil he

Said how do you know that someone needs encouragement and he pauses and no one knew the answer he said they’re breathing how do you know someone needs encouragement they’re breathing and so I would just like to say wherever you’re at today I hope some of these messages inspire you or spark something inside of you and I’m just going to give three quick stories from Hong Kong Kenya in a six-minute speech and then we’ll dive into your story and your Clarity and how you can leverage the speaker brief to create a for yourself that’ll get you on stage and a speaker kit that you can share that will create gamma did I travel

When I was young no the first time I ever traveled outside the country was because I got a scholarship at the very end of college for firsttime travelers to go anywhere in the world if you have a globe and you put your finger on Atlanta Georgia and you spin it around on the other side of the planet is Hong Kong that is how I decided with a fear of god where I was going to travel and I was studying journalism in college and my first assignment ever as a journalist was July 1st 1997 which was the handover ceremony of Hong Kong from British rule back to Chinese rule and I remember flying alone for the very first time internationally

Landing in Hong Kong August 1997 walking around this insane City by myself with no friends no family and I remember hopping in a taxi I couldn’t speak the language they couldn’t speak my language and I remember going okay I’m just going to point at places on a map for the next 10 days by myself and I remember getting into this taxi and going to the hotel we get there I go to open up the door of the taxi and it wasn’t unlocked I had no idea what was going on so I go tap tap tap on the window and I remember the taxi driver rolling down just a little bit and going next and I was

Like next like what do you what do you know like is that like the name of the hotel or something and he’s like next next and I was like all right so I get back in the car we drive around the block again and again 15 20 minutes go by tap tap next next and finally I don’t know maybe it was hour hour and a half two hours in I was so confused because I didn’t know these taxi’s door is open automatically it took me that long to figure it out I get out I go into the hotel first day ever traveling internationally by myself first assignment ever as a journalist

I go up to my hotel room I lock the door I close the door I close the curtains and I remember just sitting there scared out of my mind like why did I ever think I could do this on my own like what’s wrong with me and I remember I don’t drink caffeine I don’t drink alcohol but the fear got the better of me I ordered a beer just to try to settle my nerves cuz I didn’t know what I was doing I was scared out of my mind about being alone in a country I couldn’t understand didn’t know the language and I don’t know if you’ve maybe felt that with something in your life we all face fear anxiety being alone by

Ourselves not knowing if we should show up if we’re good enough do we deserve this well have the courage to walk outside my door I ubered I ubered I ubered around the streets I remember getting a train from Hong Kong all the way to the border of China at that time and I said you know what I don’t even know if I’m technically allowed to enter China I don’t have a visa I said let’s see if they let me at least walk across this bridge and I remember stepping foot for the very first time ever in China not know if I was even allowed to be there and I said you know I’m just going to explore I’m going to see

What’s out there I ended up in a city called shenen which of all things is known as the silicon valley of China which is incredible cuz today I get to speak so much on the topic of Ai and I remember walking down this dirt road just by myself scared like why did I come here like this is dangerous like this is this is really I don’t feel comfortable and I remember walking down his dirt road and this random man just kind of walked next to me and he was probably in his 60s and it was très he’s very friendly he you could tell he didn’t want anything for me he just wanted to say hi

Yeah and so we start walking together he doesn’t speak really any English I don’t speak any Cantonese um but we’re speaking with each other in the most broken English shall we say for the next 30 minutes and then he goes he was so kind he goes hey do you like ramen and I was like wait yeah I love ramen who doesn’t love ramen let’s be honest and so he brings me back to his house 30 40 minutes 45 minutes later he makes me a fresh bowl of ramen at his house randomly with his family it is by far to this day one of the best bowls of ramen I’ve ever had my entire life and I don’t know why he was so nice to

Me he could have made money off of me he could have I don’t he he made me a bowl of ramen for free at his house and he sends me on my way and I remember something happened inside of me a light bulb turned on for the very first time in my life and I said you know what if the world truly is this good if this stranger showed up for this stranger showed such Grace and love for a stranger like myself who I can’t even speak the same language as him what would happen if I decided to travel the world for the rest of my life what could that look like and I

Remember booking a flight from Hong Kong all the way to Kenya cuz I had a free weekend before I had to fly back to the states for school um and I remember when I landed in Kenya I ubered um I mean this was pre Uber I hailed a cab and um I said take me somewhere are you kidding me you don’t even I don’t even know Kenya at all like where do people go and he’s like oh there’s a nice National Park called Masai Mara it’s in the middle of nowhere it’s like eight hours away from the airport and I was like great let’s go check it out I remember arriving there middle of nowhere Kenya it’s it’s basically African Savannah in the middle of

Nowhere it is absolute stunning gorgeous and beautiful landscape and I remember there was this Warrior Tribe called the masai and I remember rolling up in that car it’s it’s basically what you would imagine African Safari looks like these red rob these these these red these tall skinny men wearing these beautiful red robes carrying spears staring me down like who is this person that just showed up and I remember getting out of the car scared shaking again like the first time in Hong Kong just scared like what am I doing here like should I even be here and I remember this one Warrior just kind of walked

Up to me looked me dead in the eyes and I didn’t know if he was going to embrace me or you know essentially you know I don’t even know what was going on it’s a little bit scary and I remember he just kind of embraced me gave me a hug and he’s like hakuna matata like literally like this is like the last thing I thought I would ever hear like this real life and I remember he’s like hey you want to see how we live for the day and I was like yeah let’s do it and I spent the next probably eight hours in the middle of nowhere hanging out with this Warrior Tribe cooking food

Eating food dancing around a campfire eating goat meet and I was I couldn’t believe that Circle of Life had shown up not even six days later where the first time I was so scared to explore on my own not knowing what to do and now I found myself dancing with warriors in the middle of nowhere Kenya feeling this immense sense of gratitude for family for Community connection and I said you know I want to give back and pay it forward this favor of connection Community by traveling to every single Country on Earth one day and try to figure out what does that mean when I get to interview and

Talk to different people because I I still to this day don’t understand why he offered such kindness such love and Grace and I said I want to do that for the rest of my life okay so those are two of my three stories the third one and I promise we’ll dive after this deeper into the mechanics of how you actually create create your speaker kit but the third one comes down to Six Minutes on a stage six minutes that changed my life two years ago I had somebody reach out to me my mentor mentioned my name and said hey there’s a a a keynote speaker slot open

For the world’s largest hearing conference and I was so excited cuz I never keynoted a stage of a th000 people before never done it before and they said you’re going to have six minutes we’re going to Whittle down five finalists and after 20 minutes we’re going to pick a winner and that winner gets to have a paid contract to speak for the next year all around the world and I remember flying to Tampa Bay Florida so excited nervous cuz I never done any anything like this before I remember walking to the green room five back of the stage right before the

Doors are about to open and I meet two other people in the green room and they seem the exact same as as I felt anxious first time never done this before nervous scared and then two more people walked in and they had a very different Persona and Vibe and I remember over hearing to two people going like oh yeah I’ve done this five times I do the semi-final final competitions all over the country I make a living doing this like this is like literally what I do for a living and I remember just my anxiety like tenfold like

20 next level like Fear beyond just even I don’t even know if I explain what that felt like but they knew what they were doing this was their fifth sixth seventh time and I said great I don’t even know if I belong here anymore and I remember it was my turn to go up on stage and I looked left and right of the stage and I saw all the past winners of the last say 5 years and they were all older white men in like really nice three-piece suits and I saw not a single person that looked like me and I said am I even allowed to have a message

Or a voice that’s different than than everyone else in the past that one this and I remember I looked left and right I had 30 seconds before I was about to walk on stage and I made a decision I said you know I’ve been coaching people my entire career about the concept of courage and I said if I truly believe in this message am I willing to have the same amount of courage that I’ve been talking about for the last 15 years of my career and so I remember I ripped up my note cards cuz I I always had a backup just in case and I said you know I’m going to do this differently I said I’m not going to walk on the

Stage like I’ve done a th000 times before and do like a fist pump walk out I said I’m going to walk on stage the exact same way that I feel on the inside and that’s scared just fear and so I remember they called my name and I didn’t walk on stage with confidence I didn’t walk on stage like I’ve done this a million times I walked on stage shaking anxious nervous and they were kind of looking at me a little confused like is he actually going to do this and about 5 seconds and I just let that Pika I let it exist I let it Marinate I let people

See it and then I finally opened up my mouth and I said 10 seconds like this what if we lived a life driven by 10 seconds of insane courage but this isn’t the courage that we think about that’s these Grand courageous acts saving loved ones running away burning building saving Puppy from a Well This is a courage of taking 10 seconds and standing in the essence of your true authentic self despite the fear the anxiety the doubts we have and I remember I started to share about how despite feeling that fear I still show up I don’t let it hold

Me back and 6 minutes later I remember walking off stage and 20 minutes later they called my name to say I won that competition scared beyond belief I was more nervous than that competition than any competition I had done in my past 20 years of speaking but I learned that oftentimes the story we tell was ourselves the fear becomes the very thing that ends up connecting us to to an audience the most cuz here’s a little secret in the world of professional speaking I don’t know if you feel this way but so many people think we have to have this over

The top true story of Truth Truth wildly successful and I’ve stood on stage with billionaires I’ve stood on stage with astronauts I stood on stage of Olympians people that have overcome the most incredible things but here’s the thing when I even Fe wor with billionaires and asked him hey how do people relate to you when you talk about your success he’s like they don’t even talk about that he’s like I talk about the things that people can relate to and Envision themselves like my failures the mistakes that I made that people go oh maybe I

Could do that too I don’t think oh he’s a billionaire I could never be like that so I love these little quick three stories I gave hopefully that added a little clarity or gave you guys some entertainment before we move on to today’s actual purpose of what we’re really going to be doing here which is how do we take your story how do we take these ideas and put them into an actual speaker kit using our speaker brief and not to confuse with um it’s it’s got a a title of speaker brief but you also want to make sure you have a a brief bio so making sure

You we differentiate between the two of course of course the speaker brief which we created together is more about the ideation of okay how are you clarifying and simplifying the message we’re going to be sharing inside of a speaker kit so that so people understand exactly you know here’s your bio here’s the trans transformation here’s the story you’re going to be sharing on stage and then when it comes to getting booked understanding a little bit more about like these are the topics I speak on and I think that’s what we’re going to walk

Through today piece by piece is how you actually build out this speaker kit from this call or from your own stories using the speaker brief which I’ll open up right now to show everyone here how this all connects together yeah and just to give a little further context for those that have gone through Market sauce with us at all this may look very very familiar so what we’re going to do is head on over to speaker brief. comom you can see right here this is is is what it’s going to look like once you land on the page there’s a video that queues up automatically at

Goals looking forward to helping you succeed sincerely Gigi at Gen University cool that’s the that’s the video that greets you the second you land on this page cuz I think part of the reason why we created a speaker brief this is completely free by the way for those of you that want to go through this exercise on your own after this call this is not something that’s gate kept and I think part of the reason why we created this is because oftent times you know your expertise you know how you help people but sometimes it’s hard to actually put pin to paper as it were

To write down and explain here’s exactly how I can help you here’s who I help here’s the problem I solve and here’s like an offer that goes along with that so that’s exactly kind of the mission behind creating a tool like the speaker Brief and Gigi maybe you could talk a little bit about that with with your background too on on solving that so I actually really wanted this to solve two things one is like it’s it’s it’s really easy in life for anyone whether we’re speakers or not to talk about oh yeah I do this or I do that but I think oftentimes even people don’t even

Know like the actual solution let alone the problem or vice versa I think a lot of people know the problem but don’t know what the solution actually is our our own gifts are strengths I think it’s very difficult for many people to Define what specifically is that unique problem that we Sol and what’s that Unique Solution I feel like this brief starts to at least clarify the beginning of that Journey Second Point which was really important for me is is there’s a lot of amazing speakers that have very Niche kind of specific businesses so let’s just say for example your business is around SEO

For real estate very specific like maybe you don’t have a huge Tam or total addressable Market of speaking event or oh let’s just get an SEO speaker for real estate probably not not a a big call for that but the reason why I wanted this tool to be built is because oftentimes when I do interview and speak with people they are the smartest person in their industry a but they don’t even realize how transferable a lot of those skill sets learnings and habits could be used across a totally different industry so let’s just say for example you’re an expert at SEO in real

Estate well guess what all those same principles can be applied to how you do marketing on Instagram how you do marketing for any other business Vertical this brief is a way to just click and go here’s my problem here’s my solution give me a general idea of not only who I currently Target but a way to Pivot potentially expand your Market by industries that maybe you didn’t even think about before that’s why I wanted to make sure that a tool existed to at least point people the right direction we don’t have all the answers but I think it’s a really great starting point for

For that so exactly and I think that leads us into the exercise for for today of you know what what problem are you know I know if you guys aren’t Garrett um you know a professional speaker at this moment necessarily and if you are you already probably have a great idea for this but essentially what what problem do you help people solve what’s your expertise around and identifying that audience the topic that you want to become known for as like the messenger for that solution right so we can go ahead and get us started here um what’s the topic your problem your area

Of expertise your solution I think a great example is is is one thing that came up when we were talking earlier before this call was around this concept of like helping unblock creativity that that’s something you specialize in right and we could use that as as an example potentially and it might it might help spark ideas for some of you here on the call as well cool so yeah let’s use this let’s use this as an example so we’re going to say the problem I solve or expertise I have

Let’s talk about the fact that a lot of times people are looking for creativity but they don’t know how to leverage AI to actually help be more creative not less right and I think that’s something as we go through this that we can talk about but I want to see this brief working I want to see it live in action so let’s put this Focus around like your topic your problem let’s talk about AI and creativity that’s I think a very relevant topic right now given uh you know a a room full of people how do you feel about that we’ll test it out and see what comes back Rocking and Rolling yeah

So we’ll put that in there we’ll say something like I help I help people leverage Ai and I’ll just say for creativity for right now yeah for creativity Let’s test this out see what happens we’ll click through here go ahead and click all right so now it’s asking us the name of the the individual we’re going to put in there so we’ll just say Darby real quick and then email associated Darby genai

University.com let’s see we’ll click through here to submit and I think this now is going to go through and process and I don’t know if it’s going to come right away or through email is one of the two options right there but we’ll see what what happens here real quick before we jump into the next portion so basically what it’s doing while it’s processing here is generating additional context for the next portion of building out your kit around what your target market’s

Looking for what your industry May relate to us so we’re it’s it’s asking a lot of these questions and then formulating the information you gave in your response to essentially reverse engineer create the outline of what we’re going to need moving forward for building this speaker kit which we’re going to hop into now while this pulls up so real quick let’s talk about like what what should be inside of a a a great uh converting speaker kit and I want to talk about this because I think oftentimes people say oh I need a a a a a a keynote deck or I need to have this you know I

Need to speak on stage but I want to talk about it it’s not just what’s in the speaker kit but what actually is a speaker kit that’s converting because we could put together a beautiful one you know here’s my bio here’s my headshot here’s the topics I speak on but the reality is is you’re speaking to gatekeepers Innovative event planners marketing managers head of I don’t know internal culture within a company like you’re speaking to people they have hundreds of these requests already probably in in their inbox so the question I

Always think about first is not what do I need to include the question I always ask myself first when I meet event planners is what problem do they have I e their boss is telling them we need Innovative fresh new content that’s going to Elevate our conference make it worthwhile because if you don’t the boss is coming down them going you’re not doing your job well I don’t want people to be bored I don’t want people to walk away not feeling like they gained an incredible ROI a return on investment for actually showing up for this you know two-day 3-day conference

I want the takeaway is is is this month’s long you know return where they walk away with more Clarity understanding and Direction how does this relate to a speaker kit and how do you build that well I think the goal ultimately for you is going to be how do you Empower Event Planners understand very clearly this is the problem you’re going to help solve for their team here’s a story that relates that so it doesn’t feel over Salesy like buy from us or you know come speak I think the goal is how do we simplify that Journey so the event planner internally can share hey I have a speaker

That’s going to change transform The Narrative help solve or shift the mindset for the culture within the company like that’s typically the way I go about writing content for speaker kits let’s talk about you know some of these things let’s see we’ll go ahead here and I’ll show you guys an example real quick of you know what what tends to go well in a speaker kit and this can look you know very different um based on how you are but I do think there is a general framework that that that

That we should follow so my speaker kit’s a little bit different because I’ve done this for over two years now um building out you know almost like this beautiful magazine style book we’re going to talk about kind of the the general framework that everyone needs but before we get too deep into it here I want to know it it it processed we got a response back Rocking and Rolling perfect uh so let’s go ahead here since we did put in an actual for real email real quick why don’t we hop into our email real quick and see if it landed while we go through kind of the the general

Framework of what goes into it one of the things they don’t even know the Wonders that they’re thinking about you know yeah so like something like this like I helping people leverage AI for creativity I believe AI can help you find and Fu your creative personal passions to spend more time doing what you love less time doing things you hate by leveraging AI to create innovate and augment your creativity 100x than you are right now even if you don’t know where to start perfect and so with this statement is then you’re going to integrate that this is the framework that I use

For helping you tap into this sort of thing yep so again let’s just before you hit okay I just wanted to let the audience know what we started with was AI what we’ve gone to is human powered AI now what we’ve gone to is how to 100x your creativity with AI right you see how it’s leadership courageous leadership t seconds of insane courage so you’re following the formula again we’re doing this in real time but that’s the way we want to think about this because now a company who had never known who Darby was is saying God we have really got to get a speaker in here because we

Have had lackluster performance and no creative ideas for the past two years we’re looking for someone to boost our creativity oh my God this guy can help 100x our creativity leveraging AI I don’t know what that means let’s Reach Out out to them boom First Step cool so that’s how we got to this yep would you say this is a good statement to then push on to the next or you okay cool yes so now we’ll click okay once we have that statement in following that format and then we have a little bit of additional context here right so the prompt is

Brag about you your experience of What Makes You Different is this pulling in from your unique experience I’ve done this I’ve accomplished that this is like something that I’m pulling or anyone that’s going through this process is pulling yeah and I would say one is probably a business awesomeness like one is a personal awesome how you’re awesome and one is like something you’ve overcome right like I believe I watched my dad pass away way too young it inspired me to view life in the framework of fear vers courage and I end up writing a book about it right like yeah it can pull from the internet my

Job and my LinkedIn and all this stuff but what about you drives you so maybe you could say yes I founded a AI you know company I you know I’ve read a hundred books on creativity I’m making this up and yeah so this one book and I would love to Leverage The Power of Seth Golden’s Purple Cow Mark I’m making it up in the moment so maybe one example like I started this after helping people get through and write that we can get to that point and and use AI to flesh that out but I don’t need to the entire speech flushed out just right now what I need is the different elements of this speech of

The kit that we’re going to start building out so that whenever our blueprints ready we can optimize that with the the content that we’re going to be using to create and so I gave you guys the GG’s speaker kit recipe and I gave you oh I’m not sharing my screen right now so let me go back here so you guys have two examples and obviously I I I don’t have an example of the first kit that you sent me but this is one of your recent kits I believe GG um prefacing maybe some context that this is so so yeah this is it’s almost unfair there’s a couple things one I spent a ton of

Money to get this right I had a professional designer do it I have been doing this for 20 years I this should just be a oh that’s what goes in it not ah screw it like how am I gonna like the only thing that matters is let’s get the framework of what goes in it here’s the other great news you don’t have to have your speech written out at all to send this the first step is they want to know that you even know what a speaker kit is fantastic we do we’re talking about here today it’s literally from the beginning hey here’s who I am here’s the one thing I talk about right so 100 so Darby be Darby

Addresses one common challenge how do 100x your creativity great real quick before we get into that you guys have seen what this looks like but we built the whole FR we we I took this and I had AI help with reversing the framework to make it clear on what we’re talking about here and these are basically the elements that you need in it right you need to make a good first visual impression defining your target audience compelling bio concise and Powerful overview of the speech description testimonials for credibility evidence of your thought leadership if if you got any sort of

Recognition on any stage even you only talked once at your old high school right like anything it doesn’t matter you could talk once at your old high school at a dinner party one time you stood up and gave a toast doesn’t matter we’re using it and so basically this is going to walk through how you would build a 10 pager of something like this and so you can build towards something like this we give it with examples here and so basically what I would be like when looking at something like this I might I’m going to copy and paste this but then what I’m I’m going to do is just to to work through this process

While we’re getting that market sauce cooking and I and it’s cooked and it’s here so perfect so I just got my email and in my email I now have a speaker blueprint so we can see my topic the AI powered human and then we got the the first part right here and some of this again may look familiar if you’ve gone through Market sauce all these elements are still required for knowing who your AUD a is going to be which is why Garrett and I started working together to craft this for people that want to be speaking and use this as a a way to align the language that we’re going to be using and so we can see scan

Through here Gigi with me yep we’ve got our speaker blueprint on the topic of AI powerered speaker you know demographic I speak to entrepreneurs and Business Leaders writers and Creator professionals educational institutions what do they need what do they want like this is all informing me about okay this is how I can position myself when I’m talking to these folks what are they looking for in the first place they’re overwhelmed they want practical applications and in their work in Creative blocks so the primary goal here enhancing of creativity through Ai and so right and somebody is looking for that

Specifically and then what they don’t know that they’re looking for is those words that the speaker brief oh they may be searching for Creative boost they may be searching for productivity and you can put that in your speaker kit like these topics so same thing and then you can even talk about Industries you speak to entrepreneurs entrepreneur organizations blah blah blah blah all that stuff so this is a plug and play that we can leverage both for yourself and your speaker kit yeah so there’s a few parts here right there’s one there a framework that you need to fill out then two

There’s the words that are going to go into that framework and then there’s all the additional statistics and things that obviously AI doesn’t know about me if I need to fill a spot out but before getting hung up on oh I need to go and find all the stats and I need to go all do this thing my approach to this is going to be pretty straightforward I’m going to download a copy of the 10-page breakdown with the prompts and then I have already downloaded my speaker blueprint prepared for me next thing I’m going to do is open up a chat GPT tab yep and simply attach both of these into my chat GPT and now is

Going to come the prompt right the instruction now that knows understand some context but I need to tell chat GPT what it it know what to look for right here and what I want to see from it okay so I’m going to use my voice dictation and um I’ll probably share this prompt with you guys after the fact just if it’ll be helpful but I’m simply asking for what I want right here I want you to reference GG’s speaker kit recipe for the framework for me creating a speaker kit using that as a reference point for example but reference the speaker blueprint prepared for Darby Rollins as the context for the

Speech that I’m going to be filling out the content with it so what I want you to do is first understand the context of this and all 10 pages that are going to be needed based on what we’ve given you with the framework for GG speaker kit recipe and then once you’ve done that I want you to then integrate and recreate a version of that specifically for me Darby Rollins filling it out in a way that my primary topic and the primary goal of who I’m going to be presenting myself to is aligned and speaks directly to my ideal target audience do not reference Gigi or anything about his business in my speaker

Kit for the output just use that for your own reference point to know where to fill out the proper information using the blueprint that I have provided please confirm that you understand what I’m telling you and provide an outline for how you will approach this before you proceed to the full content creation and I want to stop it from just going and creating this right now because sometimes if it doesn’t understand this context right at the gate I can muddy up some of my context in this thread so I’m just going to tell it what I’m looking for make sure that it knows that this is my Approach so what is the

Outline approach review the framework customize the content for each page Target prompts right here integrate cover page audience signature topics say all right fine that’s perfect now I want you to go through for each page and create every single section of Darby’s speaker kit with the context from his blueprint that we’ve provided to you signature topics right so this thing’s on track now this has given us the topics the goals the sections everything we need and everything we need with 15 minutes left to to basically wrap this up inside a gamma and make it a full presentation that at least I’m

80% of the way there and I could spend a little bit more time cleaning it up and I have my my my website right here tailored kit XYZ so what I’m going to do now is I’m going to copy this right here I’m going to copy my content here and now I’m going to jump into gamma now I’m inside gamma I’ve got a new folder set up for Darby speaker kit I’m going to select create new I’m going to paste in my text I’m going to paste in that text right here and I could do presentation but I want to just be able to put this on a domain and send people to it you know what I’m actually going to do before I do that give

Me two seconds I’m going to open up the domain I’ve already got because like I mentioned before in a couple different sessions throughout here is that I set up my own personal brand on a g GMA so I took my domain that I hadn’t done anything with for seven years it just been sitting there and and I I linked it up with gamma and so we just got off the gamma session as well where they showed us how to use the website so here now I’ve got my my personal brand website that I built this all the things here this is one page but the question I had was like okay how do I make a second page in gamma quite simply I

Can go select the page up here click add page that AI help you make the page and where are we at we’re right back to to this so I’m going to say one page site now you know what I’m going to do let me see because what we could do is make a separate page and then copy it over into here and that’s one way that we could take this I want to see if I can get a prompt Brank Plage from scratch so now I have a new page here let me see just do it up page setup trying to figure out how I would give it that same exact prompt that we were going to go through but alternatively I’ll just make a new page in

Site and that I’ll copy it all over here like gamma showed me how page setup take outline no oh that was offline one second rename page setup preview just for the purposes of this so we don’t get hung up on adding the second page here that’s always something we can transfer back over to that I’m going to go back to how I was going to show you initially so we can show you how to make one pager this can be a standalone site that we can send somebody just immediately and no no other problems about it and as time would have it let’s say someone said I need a speaker kit from you Darby by by 3:30 pm on

Wednesday this gig is gonna pay $100,000 for a five minute speech just kidding I don’t think that’s how I don’t think anyone’s gonna I don’t know I’m not going to say that but maybe not right now but let’s say we want to make a a web page or something along those lines so if we click continue I’ve added in that space and what you can see because it’s had the H1 settings here it actually broke it up in individual cards which is what I want to have each of these as separate cards at separate sections just like you had your image GG I’m going to preserve the content for the most part let me see condense

We can always come back and regenerate from right here condense presentable if it’s preserved it’s going to keep a lot of the original text concise and presentable medium AI images image style um um I’ll just leave it and let it do what it’s going to do so it’s 11 total cards now I can go into gamma and select a number of themes let’s pick a cool theme I have the the themes from my own personal brand that would actually make the most sense to build it in because that is where the website I would transfer these slides to once I’ve created them so I can host them on a on my own personal branded site so I

Can select the theme that I’ve already customized and then I’m going to click gener and now we’re letting gamma do its magic and start to generate each of the individual slides or the individual sections of my page right here so we got speaker kit AI driven creativity framework unlock your create a penil with Darby Rollins AI powered framework explore innovative solutions that transform your ideas into reality on the point 100 ex creativity AI powered Advantage it’s using the same language that we created here the AI innovator 100 inspiring over and these are all easily editable once I’m inside of gamma

Personal Brand Story you can adjust these images if we want to Signature keep the ball rolling let’s get out let’s keep pushing let’s keep refining and like you’re a testament to doing this for years and years as long as you’re being consistent with it and you’re going to continue to open up opportunities and create those chance encounters that you talk about so much Gigi absolutely and again this was 90 minutes ago none of us knew each other 90 minutes later we went through a whole speech backstory three parts of a story we all have three stories inside of us now there’s a speaker brief. comom now you got

An email now like you just learned about Gamma probably less than five hours ago this stuff can happen fast right it’s just than I just want to say you thank you to Darby thank you for putting together this conference thank you to the sponsors for giving me a chance to speak at the conference I will just end by saying this I believe everyone has a story worth sharing that you face some problem that someone else is facing right now and if we have the courage maybe even the 10 seconds of insane courage to put ourselves out there I think that’s when the best stuff in life happens so thanks for letting me be a

Part of it hope we added lots of value and uh value moving forward as well because you’ve got all the links and the websites and I’m always available and Darby’s got all my contact info and you can follow me or reach out to me however the best I can help serve awesome thank you so much GG and thank you everybody for being here with live with us on the session as well as catching the replays um wherever you’re at that point I just hope everyone walks away with this at least inspired to know that you do have that story inside of you and there there’s a structure and a framework now with AI that can help

You with getting that story out refining the top topic and getting it presentable in a way that can help you you know potentially land that first speaking gig that much faster so thank you so much Garrett and go ahead and transition now into the last 30 minute break between us and the end of day two which is going to be capped off with a keynote presentation by Jacqueline and her co-founder Frank from howdy. comom who is one of our Platinum sponsors alongside gamma they’re going to be sharing how they are approaching the world of AI and training and enabling an AI powered Workforce howdy hires and

Trains and recruits top talent from all over the world they help other businesses scale with that talent and in our session coming up in just 30 minutes they’re going to be sharing their vision and how they’re going to be leveraging Ai and training people on AI and other things that they’re going to be sharing around their approach to just how can people stand out in the workforce and leverage these tools to be that much more effective and enabled with these tools to add more value to the businesses that they are working in and training teams and entire organizations AI is here to stay it’s important

That we’re integrating and enabling our teams to be AI enabled so that we can just continue to power our workforces and our organizations and with that said we got about 30 minutes left we’ve been on backto backs for the past few hours I think now is a good time to take a 15-minute break and um we’ll hop back in about 10 minutes before 10 15 minutes before the top of the hour to join Jacqueline and her co-founder for the last keynote of the day you’re going to want to stay on for this and join us for for the remainder of day two and then we’ll wrap things up from there and move on to the last day of the

Summit so thank you all for tuning in and being with us here live throughout today’s sessions and we’ll take a a quick break and then we’ll be right back here for the final keynote of the day
