What new AI tools were shared in this Gen AI University roundup?

This video breaks down nine tools that Robin shared with the Gen AI University community on a mastermind call, ranging from newly launched apps to tools already in regular use, covering video editing, podcast discovery, design, workflow documentation, course creation, live dashboards, memoir publishing, podcast hosting, content summarization, and Reddit-based market research.

What tools were covered for content creation and video editing?

  1. Voo — A mobile-first video editor for creating shorts, with dubbing and translation features. It can import short viral clips, rework the script, and automatically adjust dubbing and timing to produce new viral-style output videos.
  2. Freepick — A one-stop-shop design tool covering AI image and video generation, resizing, enhancing, icons, templates, and mockups, available at a relatively low monthly fee with different license tiers for solopreneurs versus agencies.
  3. Recall — A Chrome extension that summarizes articles, videos, and podcasts using AI as you browse, automatically building a tagged knowledge graph that links related content over time.

How was GummySearch used in a real example during the video?

The presenter searched an internet-marketer audience list on GummySearch, found a Reddit post from someone launching a supplement business detailing their results and Facebook ad approach, and copied it into Claude. Claude summarized the post into 10 key points, then expanded on each point when asked. That expanded content was pasted into Gamma, which built a full explainer website about launching a supplement business in about 25 seconds — a process described as taking roughly five minutes total from Reddit post to finished site.

Hey guys, this video is going to be a breakdown of a number of tools that Robin shared with our community on a mastermind call this week — some of the new and upcoming tools that he’s found using generative AI to grow our businesses, from solopreneurs to agencies to enterprises. I think you’ll find some sort of inspiration with what these tools can do and how they can help you inside of your workflow. Check it out — some of these are kind of hot off the press and they’re getting good reviews on Product Hunt and on X, and other ones I’ve been using over the last couple of weeks.

So this one here is Voo — gone down really well on Product Hunt. It’s mobile first, basically it’s a video editor to create shorts where it does a lot of extra things like dubbing. You can do translations on there, you can import short clips and viral videos, rework the script, and it will automatically change the dubbing and the timing to produce nice viral output videos. So that’s a good one.

Next one has just very recently come out, backed by Y Combinator — it’s called Overlap. I’ve been looking for a tool where I can type in a topic or a name and it will pull out some decent extracts from podcasts across the podcast universe. This looks promising — it kind of narrows down serendipity and shows you three or four different clips within podcasts to go directly to, and it’s available as an iOS app right now. So that’s good if you want to get into specific topics.

Next one is Freepick — this one’s really good. A lot of creators are moving away from current tools that look at video and image, mainly because this is just a one-stop shop. So for a relatively low monthly fee, there’s a couple of different license options depending on whether you’re a solopreneur or an agency, but basically it’s got the usual things to be able to generate images using AI, all the sexy stuff like resizing, enhancing, but you’ve got a whole other set of features as well — icons, videos are here, templates, and you can actually do mockups now as well, so you can choose what type of design you want to put on the different products. This is a good one-stop-shop tool for a relatively low fee.

Next tool is Tango.us — just take a couple of seconds to load. This one’s a nice product, it enables you to record your workflow on screen and capture that not only as a document, as a PDF or DOCX, but also you can create a tab and an icon on the screen, and when the user clicks it, it will actually play back the guided workflow. So that’s good for anyone who’s created apps or just wants to embed a guided workflow on any website or any screen.

Next one’s brand new as well — Quaqua. It’s mobile first, it enables you to build short courses, and it’s got a built-in monetization feature, so it’s free to use but they take 10% on any sales. If you had a small project or you’ve got other members of the family that are looking to get into selling stuff online, this might be a nice way — if you know how to do shorts on Instagram Reels, Facebook, etc, then this is a breeze.

Apparently this looks really promising, it’s early days for Snip AI. It hasn’t been released very long, but the basic premise of this tool is you can basically take a snip from different tools and views like Google, Canva, Monday, Notion, ClickUp, or many others. You can snip the screen and then you can drag and drop them and create a real-time-updating dashboard — that is cool, and there’s lots of different use cases across different industries. There’s an entrepreneur’s dashboard there so that updates live — yeah, it updates like it’s an iframe or an embed of each of those things. That is freaking cool, it reminds me of the old Google dashboards, if you guys recall those. Yes, very much so. Now they’ve got some more features to come — they’re live dashboards. Before I included it in this list, things like you’ve got specific times for dashboards to refresh automatically, Timeless updates, email reporting so activities can trigger an email, content analysis by your AI, and libraries. So this looks like it’s got legs, this product — it looks very interesting, thought I’d share it with you guys.

Next one is part of the overall trend around remembrance and nostalgia, so basically sharing it because it’s something that’s coming close to my heart. What I thought was interesting was the way the product can be used — it’s all about creating a book with images, typically for older folks. You can be the interviewer with your phone, interviewing your family member, or if the family member is comfortable with tech, they can do it themselves. You can actually record the story, and basically there’s an AI called Lisa, you can dictate and use your voice and it captures answers to different questions. Questions get sent out by email every week, so it’s a slow buildup and not being overbearing for the target audience, and it does grammar correction and stuff, you can customize your book with images and the cover page. It’s $99 for your first one, and then subsequent ones I think are about $35. There are many other competitors in this market space, but I’m just really showing you for the concept and the idea of slower information capture, which leads up to an information product — that is really cool. I had this idea for a version of Ghostwriter, but I like that you can upload pictures and it’ll come up with part of the story from the pictures — that’s cool.

Okay, moving on — BBY, not going to go through this one in detail, but this is getting good press as a publishing platform for podcasts, mainly because it’s got the capability of having a private community-based forum where a podcast can only be accessed by certain individuals, as well as the usual distribution on Spotify and all. So I’ll just leave that one in the list.

Recall — nice product, I’ve been using this, going to run out of time to talk about it in any detail, but just check it out. Basically it’s a Chrome extension and you can tap on articles, videos, podcasts, any content really, and it automatically summarizes using AI. What’s cool about it is it builds up a knowledge graph in the background, it does auto-tagging and builds up a great knowledge graph — like research porn, I love this kind of thing. Yeah, so just click on my knowledge graph, you can go down the knowledge graph hole. Yeah, exactly — so it will link by tag the different content across wherever you’ve been looking at and where you want to capture.

Last one, this is the final run in now — just a little project that I was working through this week, just kind of wanted to share the steps using a product that I’ve only just come across called GummySearch, gummysearch.com. It’s an umbrella super-search capability that runs over all of Reddit. So the idea of GummySearch is that you can choose different subreddits and build your own audiences, and then you can drill down and have questions across different levels of these audiences. It comes with curated lists, and you can build your own as well — so for example, my audience list, which I’ve played around with this week, was based across internet marketers and online marketers.

So what can you do — you can look at hot discussions in these subreddits, top content, where people are looking for solutions, and they’ve got requests where people are shouting out opportunities, self-promotions, pain and anger where people are looking for advice. You can drill down, you can cut it many, many different ways — it’s all drag and drop and click. Using AI you get credits, and by the way, if you want to try GummySearch, you can play around all day for 10 credits. So if you just want to drill down and play around with different audiences and extract these types of insights, it only costs you 10 credits.

So for my sub-audiences, what are they most upset about — there’s the top four things they are most upset about, on the right-hand side it breaks it down into more detail. I can drill down into each of those, getting into the final Reddit post. So what I did was I found this guy who was launching a supplement business, and he basically said, “Last month I posted blah blah blah, fast forward to this month I ran some Facebook ads, I made this offer, here’s what I did.” So I copied that from the Reddit research, pasted it into Claude, asked it to assess his overview of what he was doing for the business — it came back with 10 key points. Then I said to Claude, “That’s really interesting, expand on those 10 key points using the same numbering system.” Claude kindly expanded on them, so I’ve got a hell of a lot of content now about how I want to go step by step and launch or relaunch a supplement business.

And then what I did was I took that into Gamma.app and uploaded all the text as one scrape, and in 25 seconds it built me this website explaining how you go about setting up a supplement business. So all of that took me five minutes — that’s super cool, man, Robin, that super valuable. Check out the description with all the links to the tools, give the tools a try, let us know if you like this type of content, and make sure you’re subscribed to our channels and share it with your friends if you found it helpful.
