Michael Alexander Hale Testimonial

Can AI actually help someone finally finish writing a book?
Yes. Michael Alexander Hale, author of F Your BS: A Practical Guide for Dealing with Depression, spent almost 10 years unable to finish a book he’d bet a friend he’d write in seven years. After joining the 7-Day Book Writing Challenge and using AI writing assistance, he wrote a full book in under seven days and became a published author.
Why did Michael struggle to write a book on his own for so long?
He always felt like he had a book — or several books — inside him, but could never put pen to paper. He became overwhelmed by the process, didn’t know where to start, and once a book was written he had no idea how to get it published. Because the book felt like a passion project rather than something that would move his business forward, he never prioritized the time, energy, and effort it required.
What changed when he joined the 7-Day Book Writing Challenge?
The challenge, run by Darby and Zachariah at Jarvis Underground, paired daily guest-speaker sessions from published authors with the use of conversion AI to help generate content. Using help from one of the guest speakers, Michael was able to write his entire book outline in under an hour — work he estimates would have otherwise taken him close to five years to do alone.
What did Michael say the experience was like?
He described the accountability and support as key to finishing, admitting he felt like quitting multiple times, partly because he was also launching another project during the same seven days. He credited the team’s attentiveness and responsiveness for keeping him on track, saying he never would have finished the book without their help.

Hey, hey, what is going on. My name is Michael Hale, and I am the author of the book F Your BS: A Practical Guide for Dealing with Depression, and I just want to give a massive, massive shout out to Darby, Zachariah, and the rest of the team at Jarvis Underground, because if it wasn’t for them and the seven-day book writing challenge, I would not be able to call myself an author.
Prior to discovering Jarvis Underground and the help of Zachariah and Darby, I had struggled very, very much to write a book. I actually made a bet with a friend — this is almost over 10 years ago — that I had seven years to write a 200-page book, and I was never actually able to accomplish that bet. I always felt like I had a book inside of me. I actually felt like I had multiple books inside of me, but I was never really able to put pen to paper. I would become completely overwhelmed with the process, didn’t know really where to start, and after I had that book written, I had no idea how to go out and get it published. It was just a lot of time, energy, and effort I didn’t necessarily want to spend on something that was a project that wasn’t necessarily going to move my business forward. I always considered it more of a passion project.
But I got introduced to the seven-day book writing challenge, and along with the help of conversion AI — the artificial intelligence — and the seven-day book writing challenge put on by Darby and Zachariah, I was able to essentially write out a full book in just under seven days, and now I can say I’m a published author.
So if you’re anything like me, and potentially you might not have clarity, or you might be unsure about the process, or you might not know what to do after you’ve published the book, which is a whole other ordeal in itself, I highly suggest you check these guys out. Each and every day they brought in a guest speaker who was a published author and really gave tremendous amounts of value. Thanks to one of the gentlemen who came on board, I was actually able to bang out my entire book outline in just under an hour, and that removed close to five years of work compared to when I was trying to do it on my own.
So if you’re looking for clarity, if you want to make the process easier, if you’re looking for accountability and support, I couldn’t recommend these guys enough. They made the process so easy. I felt like quitting a million times because I was also launching another project during the same seven-day challenge, but those guys, they were so attentive, they were so responsive, and they really made it — without their help I never, ever would have been able to write this book.
So again, massive shout out to Darby, Zachariah, Jarvis Underground, and the seven-day book writing challenge. Couldn’t recommend them enough. If you got that book in you, I guarantee you can get it out with these guys’ help. Again, my name is Michael Hale, author of F Your BS, and thank you for watching.
