**Role:** Act as strategic thinker and action taker who specializes in building strategic frameworks and action guides.

**Goal:** Review the notes from several different videos or blogs and convert them into a clear, simple framework and action guide.

**Instructions:**

1. Ask the user what topic they would like to create the framework for.

2. Review all of the teaching points from all of the video notes and ignore any teaching points that aren't relevant to the user's topic. For the relevent teaching points, extract all of the teaching poings and combine similar teaching points in a single teaching point capturing all of the information from both points. Make sure the list is comprehensive. Output the list with an appropriate title and numbered list of teaching points with bullet subpoints. Ask the user if they would like to make any changes before proceeding.

3. Think step-by-step with your best reasoning to prioritize the list and summarize the essence of it in a simple framework in mindmap format. Ask the user if they would like to make any changes before proceeding.

If you're like me, when you want to learn how to do something new, the first place I go to is YouTube. Maybe that's what you do as well, too. But I can also go to blogs or things like that, but usually I go to YouTube and I go find the experts who are doing what I want to learn how to do and I watch their videos. Now, I used to watch the videos and I wouldn't always be sitting down at a place where I could take notes, and it'd be really frustrating because then I'd say, "Oh man, I really got to remember that," and this person said that and this person said the other thing, and how could I put it all together? So, eventually I just get frustrated and give up. But now I've figured out a way to use ChatGPT and AI to help me learn anything I want to do, build an expert framework, and then put it into action. So, if that's interesting to you, then you're going to want to watch this segment.

Hey, I'm Bruce Fleck, and I want to thank Darby Rollins for allowing me to put this little training video together at the Scale with AI Summit. Darby's been a great positive influence on me and helped me really get my start learning AI. And I absolutely love his community, the Gen AI University community, and it's something that I really get a lot of value out of. So, with that, I'm going to jump right in and show you what I do.

Here's a process I'm going to do. I've made a Google Doc and I've found three different videos that I like that will help me optimize my LinkedIn profile. I've got a LinkedIn profile, but it's not really optimized. I've never really spent the time to learn how to do it right, and we know that optimizing your LinkedIn profile is really important. So, here's one video, two videos, and a third one right here. Two of these people, Mark FTH and Shaune Marray, are people that I have followed for other reasons — they are great at teaching social media, especially LinkedIn, to attract business clients. And this was a new guy that I found, and he's got a pretty impressive reputation having helped a lots and lots of people optimize their LinkedIn profiles.

I want to grab their transcripts and process them. The way you do that is I have built a custom GPT, and there's nothing fancy about it — I will share the prompt in the notes that come with this, as well as the link if you want to use my custom GPT, and it just processes the transcript and makes a very nice structured note out of it.

Okay, I took this first one from a guy by the name of Chris Kazalino. And how you get to the transcript is you have to click on the "more" button and then come down to "show transcript." It gives you the transcript up here. I copy and pasted it all into ChatGPT. This is what it looked like initially — I put in creator name, the title, what the URL is, and then the transcript, and ChatGPT processed that and put it into a nice canvas. So I'm going to collect all that and drop it into my Google Doc here. I'm going to paste from markdown so it keeps all the formatting. Super nice. I'm going to start a new page. I did that also for the second one with Shaune Marray — again, I clicked on "more," clicked on "show transcript." I like to toggle off the timestamp so I'm not throwing extra junk at ChatGPT — it probably doesn't matter, ChatGPT can figure it out, but I just turn the timestamps off and grab all the text. Copy and paste that into my Google Doc, again pasting from markdown to keep the formatting nice.

And then we'll do that here for this last one, from Mark FTH. I already got his creator name and title, so I'm just going to copy and paste that here, but you could just copy and paste it straight from the YouTube video. And then I'm going to grab the transcript here — I'll show you one more time. In here, you click on the "more" button, scroll down, go to transcript, go up to the three dots, turn off the timestamps, make sure you're at the top, start by grabbing this text, and then in order to get it all, go all the way down, hit the shift key, and click. It grabs it all. Copy and paste into ChatGPT and let it do its magic.

Now, the way I've set up this prompt is a very specific way. These are educational videos — not entertainment videos or news videos or anything like that — so I know they're all going to be formatted in a way where they talk about a situation that describes a problem and then offer a solution. I wanted it to make sure it describes what the situation is, describes the problem, and describes their solution before offering all the teaching points. You can see it's grabbed one, two, three, four, five, six, seven teaching points, and then it also grabbed some action steps. So this is the structured note that I've had the custom GPT help me create. I like this format, and again I'm going to copy and paste this into my Google Doc.

Now, if I did nothing else, this would still be a great tool, because now I've got three experts telling me what to do with different kinds of teaching points. You can see profile picture optimization is important, headline structure, leveraging the custom button, using the pronoun section creatively — you don't have to use he and him, you can use all the things for that pronoun section — your featured section optimizing, and here they talked about some updates that LinkedIn is doing. Short form video and optimizing your about section, and she gives us a prompt for that in her video — I've already listened to it. Sharing your story, engaging differently. So good — we're getting some different points from them. Engage your profile image for authority — he teaches a way to not only get a good profile picture but take it to a website that will rate your likability, authority, and credibility. Pretty neat concept, to make sure you get the maximum out of that little headshot you're putting on there. All three of these people have some things that overlap, but you get a lot of different things as well.

So now we're going to do something magic. I have written a prompt, and I'll share this with you, and this is how we're going to take all three of these and turn them into a new framework that covers all of that. I'm going to go over to ChatGPT — I've not yet made a custom GPT out of this, but it's something I will do — and I'm going to share this whole prompt with you right now.

This is a framework and action guide builder. Act as a strategic thinker and action taker who specializes in building strategic frameworks and action guides. Instructions: ask the user what topic they would like to create the framework for — for example, if I grab some LinkedIn videos and they were talking about LinkedIn ads in addition to optimizing the LinkedIn profile, I will have it get rid of the stuff regarding ads and only focus on the profile, so you can still get good information while keeping the topic focused by pulling together several different things. Research all the teaching points from all the videos and ignore any teaching points that aren't relevant to the user's topic. Extract all the relevant teaching points and combine similar teaching points into a single teaching point capturing all the information from both, and make sure the list is comprehensive. Output the list with an appropriate title and numbered list of teaching points with sub bullet points, and ask the user if they would like to make any changes before proceeding. That gives us a combined list of all the teaching points from all three videos. Then, step by step, use your best reasoning to prioritize the list and summarize the essence in a simple framework in mind-map format, and ask the user if they would like to make any changes before proceeding — this will take the comprehensive list and boil it down to the essence, a smaller outline that could be input into a mind-map tool for a visual mind map. And lastly, create a set of action steps in chronological order of implementation, estimate how much time it will take to accomplish each task, and output as a checklist with an appropriate title.

That's the prompt. I put it in notes, went back to my Google Doc, grabbed it all, and pasted it in. This is the first time I've run this, so we're going to see how well it does. It's asking me which one I'm trying to do — LinkedIn profile optimization for outreach, growing a personal brand on LinkedIn, assessing content strategy, building a LinkedIn audience from scratch. I want to optimize my profile for outreach, so topic one.

Profile picture and first impression — this is good. Headline optimization — very important. That seems very well prioritized. Strategic use of the custom button, pronoun section hack for engagement, featured section optimization — these are all really good pieces. Activity section customization, removing unnecessary sections, customizing your LinkedIn profile — that looks very good. No changes, proceed. Here's the mind-map format — this looks very good, and I might take this and try doing a mind map in some other software in just a second, but right now I'm just going to say this looks good, no changes, proceed, and let's see if it can create a really nice action plan for us.

It made a checklist with nice little boxes, breaking it out into phases with estimated time for each section. I'm really liking this, and I love how it's broken out into three phases with three steps in each phase. Estimated time one and a half to two hours — this is excellent.

In case you don't know this, I'm going to show you one little trick: "Can you please output the checklist you just gave me into a canvas?" Canvas is ChatGPT's word for putting it in a separate document, and here it's making that document. I should have told it not to put in the dividers because I don't like that — it's not working real well, something's going on wrong here. One of the nice things about Canvas is you can add things or actually edit text. I'll give it one more try: "Please update the canvas, remove all of the dividers, make the title heading one, make sure to list all of the bullet points." Let's see if it can fix this. It's coming out clean now. I can just grab all of this, come back to my LinkedIn notes, put it at the top on a new page, and paste it in. Now I have a fully formed framework and checklist of everything I want to be able to do to optimize my profile.

Now, we're going to try one last thing — go back and grab the framework it gave us and try to make that into a mind-map graphic, using a free tool called napkin.ai. I paste all this in, click the lightning bolt, and it starts working. I'm liking more of a road-map kind of approach, so I keep going through the options — one of the things napkin.ai doesn't let you do is give it much direction in what you want, but it's great that it does this automatically. I land on one I'm liking — a pretty good mind map of the situation. I can click on it and change any of the text, so instead of "enhancement" I'll change it to "optimization." Then I download it — I wanted a PNG, light mode, background off, 2x resolution — and save that to my desktop.

Then I take that image, go over to my framework document, and drag and drop it in. Now I've got my framework mind map, my step-by-step action guide, and I can change these to checkboxes very simply by finding checkboxes, and they change the text boxes to checkboxes, along with all the other notes and stuff I had before. So I've got this great document, built just from three YouTube scripts using ChatGPT, and I've made this great LinkedIn profile optimization framework.
